Mount Damavand was registered nationally as the first Natural Monument in 2008. This unique volcanic mountain has a special place in the literature and mythology of Iran.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer To Vandarbon.
Transfer from Tehran to Vandarbon Mountain Shelter. Leisure time.

Day 2: Transfer To Tang-e Gelu & Trek Up To Hesarchal Camp Place
After a transfer to Tang-e Gelu hiking up to Hesarchal camp(3800 m), will take about 4 hours. The route goes along some nomads then passing along a small river originating from the melting snow, the sheep and goats grazing in the fields. Snow can be found here even in August. The rest of the day will be used for acclimatization. The camp is surrounded by mountains of 4000 meters high. Also, several natural springs can be found in this area.

Day 3: Ascending To Lashgarak Summit
Ascending to Lashgarak Summit (4320 m) for acclimatization and return to the camp. The peak of Lashgarak is located south of the camp. We pass a glacier and a beautiful small lake while ascending and we see everlasting snow of glacier near the top.

Day 4: Alamkouh Summit
Ascending to the summit of Alamkouh 4850 m which is situated North of the camp, takes 5-6 hours, Passing another glacier, a small path leads up to the summit.
Above 4300 m we will not find vegetation anymore, this area is full of rocks and some snow. From the top, the Caspian Sea can be seen. After pushing the summit trekking down to camp.Day 5: Drive To Izadshahr
Having breakfast, transferring from Vandarbon to Izadshar, visiting DiDi Cultural Center and art museum, transfer to the beach hotel, check-in, afternoon Free time for using the pool and swimming at Caspian sea to get relaxed.

Day 6: Ascending Up To Advanced Camp (4350 m)
Early morning wake-up, having breakfast, drive to Nandal village, transfer to the start point of the climbing route by pickups, transporting backpacks by mules, trekking up to Damavand Advanced Camp (4,350m); Welcome drink & snacks on arrival, relaxation, acclimatization, dinner.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day
Half-day trek up to 4850 m to acclimatize in the path leading to the summit and return to advanced camp, this day also could be used as a reserved day in case of bad weather on summit day.

Day 8: Summit Day
Early morning wake up, climbing (slowly & as a team). Reaching the summit, a shortstop for visiting Damavand caldera and the old crater of the volcano. Visiting sulfur fumarole and taking photos. Return to the Advanced Camp. After a well-deserved rest, it’s time for dinner.

Day 9: Descending, Drive Back To Tehran
Trekking back to the start point of the track after breakfast, the backpacks will be transported by mules. Transfer to Nandal Village by a pickup. Drive back to Tehran and flight back home.

Recommended Tips:
The prices are calculated based on mentioned accommodations. After your confirmation, we start to check availability and inform you of the probable change. In case of any change in the final booking, the price could be changed.
Any extra day in base camp, middle camp, or advance camp, for acclimatization, bad weather, etc. costs 80 Euro per day/person. It includes accommodation (Base Camp/Advanced Camp), all 3 meals, and snacks.
Cancelation policy:
• After your final confirmation, we send you the invoice. You will pay 50% of the total amount 90 days before arrival.
• Any cancellation before 90 days to arrival, has NO charge.
• Any cancellation between 89 days to 30 days before arrival date: 15% charge.
• You will pay the rest of 50% of the amount and settle the invoice 30 days before arrival.
• Any cancellation between 29 days to 15 days before arrival date: 50% charge.
• Any cancellation less than 14 days: 100% charge.
