What is going on in Iran Eco Adventure after Covid-19?

09-May-20

In the early days of March, just as the rest of the world, we were surprised by the outbreak of the Covid-19. During this period, most of our travelers and partners agreed to postpone their trip until autumn of 2020 or even the spring of 2021.

Through all that, the staff and employees at Iran Eco Adventure Company are working from their homes, answering travelers, communicating with the supply chain, and the marketing department is producing more content than ever for our blog and social media networks.

How was the spring in Iran?

In the early days of March, just as the rest of the world, we were surprised by the outbreak of the Covid-19.

In March and April, guests of Damavand ski tours were scheduled to come to Iran.

From late April to the end of May, is the spring of Iran and the best time of the year for eco-culture enthusiasts who want to visit the cultural of Isfahan, Yazd and Shiraz, as well as experience camping and tracking in central desert of Iran or green slopes of the Zagros.

But this year in March, April and May, we, like the rest of the world, experienced the conditions of quarantine and social distance, and we could not accept passengers.

During this period, most of our travelers and partners agreed to postpone their trip until autumn of 2020 or even the spring of 2021.

We have negotiated with all supply chains, such as hotels, airlines, transportation and tour guides, to ensure that passengers who delay their travel have no cancellation fees and that our prepayments and bookings be postponed as well.

And through all that, the staff and employees at Iran Eco Adventure Company are working from their homes, answering travelers, communicating with the supply chain, and the marketing department is producing more content than ever for our blog and social media networks.

What do we expect for the summer?

As we can see, the world has come to the conclusion that Covid-19 will be with us for one or two years, therefore we need to learn how to adapt and live with it.

In Iran, fortunately, we have passed the Corona peak, and since May 1th, all jobs have been restarted, and hotels and domestic flights have re-opened while keeping up with the guidelines of health and social distancing.

The summer in Iran is the season of climbing high peaks and each year we welcome hundreds of climbers from all over the world in order to ascend Damavand and Alamkouh and of course visit cities such as Isfahan and Shiraz.

Iran Eco Adventure is also the owner of Damavand Eco Camp, the only private mountain camp in Iran.

We have received permission from the Ministry of Health and intend to welcome the climbers by practicing social distancing and hygiene in all areas.

At Damavand Eco-Camp, we will only accept those who have pre-booked, and like the public mountain shelters, not every mountaineer can enter the hall, kitchen or bathroom of the camp.

Using the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Mountaineering Federation of Iran, we have developed the health protocols of mountain camps, which we implement by providing infrastructure and training personnel of Damavand Eco camp.

We are looking forward to your visit in July and August for climbing Mt. Damavand.
